Our commitment
Intimacy is for adults only. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind. These standards are published by The Seidl Family LLC, which operates Intimacy.
1. Zero tolerance for CSAE and CSAM
Using Intimacy to create, upload, store, share, request or promote any content that depicts, exploits or endangers a minor is strictly prohibited. So is any attempt to use Intimacy to contact, groom or exploit a minor. This is set out in our Terms of Service, and breaking it results in immediate account removal and a report to the authorities.
2. Adults only: 18+ age requirement
- Everyone must confirm they are 18 or older at sign-up. Intimacy is not designed for, or marketed to, anyone under 18.
- Intimacy connects exactly two accounts: you and one consenting adult partner. There are no public profiles, no search, no feeds, and no way to message strangers.
- If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we delete it.
3. How to report a concern
Anyone, whether or not they use Intimacy, can report a child safety concern:
- In the app, from More → Settings → Report a concern.
- By email to hello@ourintimacy.app with the subject “Safety report”.
Please include what you know, such as the email address of the account involved and when it happened. Do not send us images or copies of abusive material. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. You can also report directly to the NCMEC CyberTipline (in the US) or your national hotline.
4. What we do when we receive a report
- We review every child safety report promptly and treat it as our highest priority.
- We suspend or delete the accounts involved.
- We report apparent child sexual abuse material and exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, and to other relevant authorities, as required by law.
- We preserve the account information we hold as required by law to support an investigation.
5. End-to-end encryption and reports
Everything shared in Intimacy is end-to-end encrypted on the device, with a key only the two partners hold. That means we cannot see or scan content. We are open about this, and it is why reports matter so much: we rely on reports to learn about abuse, and we act on them based on the information available to us, including the report itself and the account information we hold.
6. Cooperation with law enforcement
We cooperate with law enforcement in child safety investigations and respond to valid legal process. Because content is end-to-end encrypted, the information we can provide is limited to the account information and metadata described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Compliance with child safety laws
We comply with applicable child safety laws, including the obligation of US providers to report apparent child sexual abuse material to NCMEC, and we follow Google Play's child safety standards policy.
8. Child safety point of contact
Our designated point of contact for child safety matters, including questions about these standards and our practices, is:
